I got this as a gift after adding it to my wishlist stratigically just before my birthday. Its a wonderful case. I had been weary about the Amazon Kindle Leather Cover (Fits 6″ Display, Latest Generation Kindle) which I had got when my Kindle was purchased. I know a few people who have had the brackets break, crack their device, and cause serious damage to their Kindles. Im a paranoid person so that was not something I wanted to have happen. When taking off the leather cover I found scratches from the device which only reaffirmed my belief in being paranoid. When this cover arrived I was thrilled. The design is sturdy and lightweight. The leather has a nice feel about it, and out of all the designs they sell in this case it was by far my favorite. The antique map is so pretty and gives the case an elegance I hadnt seen in many covers. The zipper is strong without being too firm and even has loops for a lock if wanted. The memory foam is good quality. The case had a bit of an odor to

Do you know an antique store in NE Mass/ SE NH?
I’ve been looking for this antiques store. It’s owned by Laura, a small antique Blonde mahogany blonde woman in her 50s/60s. It’s in a house and is right in front of a fish bait store. They share the same parking lot. It should be in northeastern Massachusetts or southeastern N.H., right near the ocean. Anyone know it? Please help!

antique-roll-top-desk Clues on Two Drawer desk

This item was missing some of the attachement brackets. We were able to use one, so we didn’t return it. Just really annoying that a company would ship out an incomplete product….not sure if it was the manufacturer or store?

Installing a lock on a desk filing cabinet?
I have a desk with a filing cabinet incorporated. It has two regular size drawers and one larger drawer for filing. There is Two Drawer desk no lock and I would like to install one but am unsure how to go about it and want to try not to damage the wood or the desk itself since it is connected. If anyone could offer step-by-step tips or instructions, that would be great. Thank you.As many details as possible, as if you were teaching this to a child, would be much appreciated!

I looked for a few weeks for a desk and found this – the bookcase that comes with it seemed to be an added bonus.Be warned – the picture DOES NOT show what parts are metal and what parts are wood. I thought the entire thing would be “metal and wood” as described… it’s not “wood”, it’s particle board and falls apart very easily. Upon opening the first thing I noticed is that all of the flat surfaces are made of particle board covered with some type of material that almost feels like cheap plastic laminated coating. It chips very easily. The upside to this is that if you want, you can put some wood putty on the ding, gently sand it down and cover it with black permanent marker if needed. The legs (the silver parts) are made of metal. The shelves are made of the plastic covered particle board and the little brackets are made of plastic. If you do get this desk, be careful about the little predrilled holes – some of them seem to not be centered. The desk arrived later than stated (we

I use a silicon mat with this tray, making it very useful for mealtime. Remove the mat and voile: it is a desk with convenient grooves for pencils and pens. The legs are hollow support pillars that create a space to store newspapers, magazines and the TV Guide. In addition, the central area of the tray tilts out to support books and magazines for optimum reading comfort. I like it a lot.

How can I stop fighting with my mother without giving in all the way?
Recently we’ve been fighting like everyday or the stupidest things. For instance we are redoing my room (which is rather small) and I have all of this furniture in it which she picked out from when I was a baby. There’s not enough room for all the furniture so the only thing that can antique furniture desks really just go into another room is this large antique (and ugly) vanity. The logical thing would be to get rid of it in order to get a much smaller desk but my mother will NOT let me put it in another room- even my father agrees with me. We got into the huge fight over it and of-course she won. I’m trying to get over it but I just can’t. It’s so annoying how she wins every single argument we have with threatening to take something away. That was just an example. We fight about what she says (she doesn’t remember saying things and then contradicts herself- mental disorder perhaps? :/ ) and other things along those lines.I guess I just have to continue doing homework on the floor…Any advice?
