This seems to be a very nice, solid lamp. It is not big, and fits nicely on my bedside table. As a matter of fact, it might even be a little smaller than what I imagined, but the dimensions are represented accurately in the description. Just my lack of imagination, I guess. The color of the light from the bulb is very different, but I like it. It seems subdued, and I wasn’t sure if it would shed enough light to read by, but it works just fine! As far as the bulb being a special order, the type of light bulb (florescent prong base) is readily available for $5 to $7 all over. Whether these replacement bulbs have the same “daylight” color, I don’t know. Regarding the complaints that it can’t be on a dimmer switch, I haven’t found ANY florescent bulb that can be on a dimmer switch. If you have, please let me know. I’d like some! My only complaint is that the swing arm is a little loose and doesn’t hold the lamp shade level. It is ever so slightly crooked. Not worth replacing it as it is
What colour should I paint my bedroom?
I have pale yellow walls right Cherry desk now, but looking for a change. Carpet is a grey/blue. A lot of things in my room are cherry wood (dresser/desk/shelf). Thanks!

This is junk. I am so tired of putting new screws in this desk to keep it from leaning to the right or the left. Yes, the bolts are well tightened, yet it is so cheaply made, they don’t hold the desk straight. The draws get stuck every five minutes. I am going to have to tear this apart to dispose of it so I can get a new desk. Bad, bad quality.
I have been a customer of amazon for everything I buy on net for a long time but this piece of junk
has made me think that I lucked out
This was the worst purchase, advertisement that its cherry is false and its mainly compressed wood except the table top
the desk is unstable and rips apart despite providing steel support on each side
I dont think it can even stand the weight of the cpu

The desk is sturdy and stylish. It comes in pieces and assembles easily. The fasteners are packaged by group and clearly labeled. I had one piece that was broken but I glued it back together and fastened to the keyboard drawer as-is without any problems. The drawer on the left is pretty small. The door on the left should hold a full size tower without problems. I have an iMac, so did not need to hide a tower. I use this space for storage using old Amazon.com shipping boxes to organize things.
There is a foot helf on the bottom. I put my power strip, external HDD, and some packaged software down there out of the way.
The keyboard drawer is a nice size. It holds a slim keyboard and a mouse with pad nicely. There is even a little room for a scratch pad behind the keyboard.
I love the look of this computer desk – especially with the additional hutch added. So, if you are going for looks and don’t plan on using it at all – go for it.

Time consuming to assemble (I did both the hutch and desk at the same time – took 6 hours by my self)
Plastic “locks” on front keyboard drawer broke after 6 weeks of use (they keep the panel with the aesthetic handles up when not in use)
Not ideal for larger computer towers
Difficult to reach back of computer tower
Definitely not a good choice if you have small children who use the computer. Even for frequent adult users, the quality just isn’t there. I rarely regret my purchases, but this one is one I wish I had never ever made. Poor quality to invest your money in. Ah, but then, you get what you pay for. Pity … it looks so nice from a distance.
this is supposed to be new i dont think so first of all i ordered it on march 7th and recieved a plain box on march 16th with the product just thrown inside missing pieces
and the product was completlety used the top of the desk is warped like someone spilled water on it.. i called amazon they offered me 11.00 are you for real?
Be warned – the individual parts are not labeled. There is no top-side, no left, no right, no abc labels of any kind. BUT, there are teeny, tiny, pre-drilled holes that will come into play LATER in assembly, that if looked for at the beginning, will save you a re-do when you’re nearly done. These little holes were not illustrated and nearly invisible, so finding up and down for a piece is impossible, until much later, when you realize (of course) it was upside down. I have put together huge wall units with less effort than this little desk – but the problem was that labeling was absent. The instructions were pretty straight forward but the illustrations were terrible. ONCE together, this desk was nice. If you have a small room, this could fit nicely at the end of a bed, with the bed as the ‘chair’. There is no keyboard shelf, just as pictured. It is sturdier than I was expecting. We have no complaints in the final product.

This is a great desk. It was so easy to put together. I didn’t even need the instructions. I love it! It’s the perfect size to fit anywhere I want to put it and supports my computer and other things with no problem!
Bought this for my Mom,who gets the winter blues, after trying a BriteLite that didn’t work out. She loves it. Says it is exactly as presented. Great price, free shipping, arrived as advertised and well packaged.
This lamp is very good for reading which is what I use it for. It arrived propmtly but the lampshade was found to be damaged upon opening. Some of the creases have worked themselves out but beware that this shade is special and cannot be found at stores. I’m still thinking of returning it.
The Verilux Woodbury tables lamps(2) were ideal for our room location. They are attractive and easy to use.
Very Very sad that I didn’t read the reviews more carefully on this lamp. Although the lamp is beautiful you have to know two things:
You can’t dim the bulb on this lamp. It’s a special bulb – a $15 bulb? I bought this lamp for my living room table because it can triverse to put the light where I want it. Had I known it only takes this special bulb I would have not bought it. Even with that said, the lamp is so pleasing to look at I would have kept it. Knowing now that it cannot be dimmed by any means I will likely return it. Why is this lamp not able to be dimmed? Really. At least mentioning this lamp is not able to be dimmed would have prevented a return.
Im all into helping out with the global warming / dimming situation but a non- dimmable special bulb? C’mon. Add into the description that this lamp is not able to be dimmed.
I have been using this desk for the past year and had not had any major problems with it. It is fibeboard/MDF and paper. It looks great but the paper does come off easily especially if your kids put stickers on it! I have moved it 3 time and disassembled it into 2 or 3 pieces (tower and file cabinest can be removed from the top and legs section) to make the transfer easier and used a blanket to sheild it from scratches and that seemed to do the trick.
All my drawers and door asembled correctly so no issues there, but I did get some parts dinged up but they did not show and I took the cove off the back of the tower for more ventilation
I felt this product was a great product for the money. Assemby does take a few hours, but the product looks beautiful when completed. I did not find any issues with pieces being damaged during shipping. I did not have an issue with the desk being crooked when put together, of course, my husband assembled the desk, and is an engineer by trade. He said pieces were easily labeld, he had no issues with assembly. Product is easily scratched, but for adults I find it to be fine. Customer provided very fast shipping. I would recommend this product and this seller.
I hate this about a lot of pressed board furniture: the pre-drilled holes are not in the right place and the drawers and doors are all crooked when you’re finished.
It looks sloppy. The door is the only straight piece on this because it can be adjusted with the hinges.
The keyboard tray slides out very easily which is sometimes not so with this type of furniture. It is a beautiful color and would look awesome if the drawers weren’t so crooked.
It’s very solid, doesn’t wobbly at all and has just the right amount of storage space. It has a nice thin 2 shelf system above the filing cabinet section that is perfect for routers, cable modems & other small devices to be placed and free up desk/floor space.
Next time I will be spending more for real wood furniture with STRAIGHT drawers. But for the price, this serves it’s purpose well.
This desk came to me in beautiful condition. Putting it together required some muscle, but was not too difficult. It took about two hours total. I love my desk and say it is definitely worth the buy!
Needed a computer set up in a pretty small space. This is not a permanent space/solution, but it works great for now. Not the sturdiest and would not choose to keep for a permanent placement, but for the year or so I need it, the size is perfect. Easy to assemble. Little wobbly, but works for now.
The desk is a basic, small computer desk. It was edelivered weel within the time allotted and serves its purpose.
This is a great computer stand. It holds a lot of weight on the top table. I put my laptop, recording equipment, a mixer, a lamp, and sometimes even a plate of food on it and it all fits. The bottom table is just as study. Mine is a little squeaky sometimes coming from somewhere on the inside of one of the legs. Other than that, you can’t beat this price.
