The globe works as advertised.
A negative is the top sphere is attached only with some thin plastic.
I had one fall over and break at the thin plastic.
When I glued it back together, it did not work right, so I bought a new one.

How does the beginning of this sound?
I just started writing this because I’m bored lol… basically a ghost teen guy named Jerimiah has fallen in love with the girl who moved into the house he resides in. Jerimiah has always wondered why he didn’t move on to the next life, he knows you stay as a ghost because you have a purpose but he doesn’t know what that purpose is (although I’m sure you have figured out it;s because of the girl) The girl ( who I haven’t figured out a name for lol) has had an inclination that Jerimiah has been watching her but she thinks she is crazy. The girl can’t see him or hear him therefore their love is very complicated. here is what I have written so far… this is most definitely not the beginning, it’s a piece from somewhere in the middle but I do not write in order lol idk y…… plz tell me what u think and plz give tips on how to make it better… i know it;s long but i would really appreciate it if u read it!I sat in her room waiting for her to return home from school. The few hours she was gone had me going insane with boredom. I wondered how I had lived through all those years she hadn’t been here, or even existed for that matter. Sounds dramatic but it is Floating desk Mid utterly and completely true. I heard the front door open and waited to hear her mother question about her day like always. “Hey, how was your-“Before her mother even finished her sentence, she was stomping up the stairs. I got up from the desk chair I had been sitting in and froze when I saw her swing open her bedroom door. Fresh torrents or tears were coming from her eyes and I could tell she was holding back from sobbing. She threw her backpack across the room and fell on her bed face first. I watched her helplessly. I couldn’t stand the sight of her breaking into sobs. I wanted to pull her in my arms and comfort her until she stopped. But I knew that was impossible, to her I didn’t even exist. She stood up and wiped away the tears that stained her face. I didn’t even think about what I was doing, before I knew it I was behind her wrapping my arms around the front of her, being careful not to actually touch her. I told myself to pull away, pull away before she felt the cold chill sweep through her and realized she wasn’t the only person in the room. I couldn’t do it. She stood there with me, unknowingly that is. She sighed deeply and closed her tired eyes as if she was content. She leaned her head back laying it on my shoulder although that was impossible. If she actually had leaned her head back any further it would’ve gone straight through my shoulder. I squeezed my arms tightly around her but regretted it instantly. I felt a shiver pass through her whole body, her eyes popped open and she stepped out of my embrace. She turned around, her eyes searched the room. I became stiff, had she finally realized I was here? “Is, is someone here?” she whispered.I didn’t respond, I knew it wouldn’t do any good. Humans couldn’t hear us. I was still shocked she acknowledged my existence.“I, I know there’s someone here! I felt you!” I panicked, this might be the only chance I had to let her know I was here. I went to her desk and grabbed the pen that was on it. I yanked open her drawer and wrote quickly on the pad of paper I had grabbed. I walked the pad over to her and realized how frightening it must be for her. I looked warily at her face, her eyes were wide and she stared at the pad. To her it was floating in mid air. I’ve been here ( thats what he had written… lol just thought I’d let u know so u didn’t get confused)She stared at what I had written.

  1. This will certainly be a conversation piece for you desk! The only thing is it will be difficult not to let other people touch it!

    VERY FUN!

  2. Definately one of the cooler desk toys you can own. Will leviate for weeks, months or even years if left undisturbed.

Strong vibrations may cause it to stick to the top. This really isn’t a problem as you simply readjust it. But one time I didn’t notice and was left that way for hours. It became pretty hot and I had to unplug it to cool off before it would levitate again.

A few times when the power browned out, the globe dropped and stuck to the base, which is not a problem, even when the power returns. Lover’s of science and gadgets will love it.

Using a soda straw, you can blow a stream of air on the side of the globe and start it spinning. It will spin a good long time before it finally slows down and stops. Sometimes 15 or 20 minutes.

I’m dying to drop an ant on it watch it go crazy looking for a way off. {;-D Don’t put 2 or more, they been known to make bridges with their bodies. Again, the ant may just drop off the bottom.

  3. It is what it is. Not sure what I expected, but I don’t think it was the perfect item I could have wanted, but I really think this pen set is interesting and I love pens.
