How to redecorate my old furniture to look new or at least more colorful?
I live with my parents in a house. It has several floors and 3 apartments. I decided to move to one of this apartments. It is fully furnished, but it’s kinda old. I mean all of our old furniture is up there. As an example I have this huge bookcase with a lot of books and stuff on it, but it just looks so old! It has this doors on it and they desk Parquet are covered with this wallpaper thing that looks like wood. The whole bookcase is wooden and dark except these doors that are lighter. Oh, and also this thing is in the bedroom. The bedroom has a parquet floor, white wallpapers (I can change those) and wooden ceiling. I have two beds (not really sure if I am going to get rid of them and buy a new bed), a desk, an armchair and a table. I really need some decorating ideas. I can buy new furniture too, but it would be best if you can suggest something to do with the old one to make it look newer. I really like arts and photography and I was thinking about putting some pictures on the walls, but I can’t decide how exactly to do it. And ideas are appreciated! Thanks :) P.S.
