The piece was easy to put together by one person and had all needed parts included in the box. The table is sturdy and serves me well as a surface for painting on smaller canvases. The only complaint I have is regarding the plastic organizational boxes that hang from the bottom of the table. They are not secured to the table, nor do they have a support in the back, so they slide rather easily out of both the front and the back of the metal loops that hold them. Overall, I’m very pleased with the table and would recommend it to others.

What are some ways I could decorate my bedroom?

  1. We bought this item for a friend as a birthday gift. She is very happy and totally loves this item. It is very handy and multi-functional. The unfinished wood gives a unique look. Adjustable legs are a plus. Light-weight and a perfect choice for laptop if you are complaining about the heat when it is on your lap :D

  2. I was pretty dissapointed witht this bed table even though I use it often. The wood is not only unfinished bt its uneven. My grampa could do a way better job in his woodshop! To be honest, if my grampa didnt live across the country, Id take it to him so he could fix this thing. Its a piece of crap! The draw on mine is so tight, it doesnt move so its pretty much worthless. Dont waste your money.

  3. I found the table to be made of base metal like steel as two bolts stripped the threading. The steel is soft and cheap. Instructions are written poorly and the diagrams are useless. I called the company and explained they are only middlemen and they do not make the item. That they would pass along my comments to the buyers. Buy something else this is not going to make you happy!

  4. Parts missing for this Christmas gift. Emailed the company (Alvin) and they responded that I should contact the dealer from whom I purchased the item…so I’m in the process of contacting Amazon. I’m very disappointed.
The table top is MDF and is attached to the frame by wood screws; this is going to loosen over time.

  5. I am a drafting and design student and I found this to be a great buy.I put it together in about an hour and it came with all the tools I needed. I used a little lock tight and wood glue from home depot to make for stronger joints and it worked out well.I would say that you should buy it, it’s a great table.

  6. First, the instructions and parts combination need a little improvement. But if you take your time, check off all the parts, and look carefully at the parts and the instructions, it will come together. You do have to be capable of critical thinking and have a logical, intelligent approach.

As for a couple of reviewers crying about no stability, I find that not to be the case. Granted you need to be smart and use proper tools to assemble it; power drill/driver, screw driver, pliers, etc. Using basic skills, tighten everything, including frame to drawing board. Then, be sure all bolts are properly snugged and you won’t have any problems with “instability.” (If you only use the tools that come with the table, you’ll have an unstable table!).

The drawers are rather cheap plastic. While they are functional, they are still just cheap plastic drewers..

For the price, this is a fine table and sufficiently sturdy to support drafting, drawing, painting or crafts activities with no problems. I’ve done all but the drafting and I love the table. And as I’ve already stated, no problem with stability, unwanted movement or the like.

I recommend this table with no reservations beyond what is stated above.

  7. I received a call from the company shipping this item informing me there was going to be a slight delay, like a day or two, in shipping the item. They must have corrected whatever it was that was delaying them because I received the item before the original expected date of delivery. The item came undamaged and went together with ease. Thanks Amazon!

  8. My 17 year old daughter is delighted with her art table. It does everything she needs it to do. However, as many others have reported, the corner of the table top arrived damaged…not unusable, but more of an appearance issue than anything. Amazon was quick to remedy the problem with a partial refund and we are satisfied. My daughter and her boyfriend assembled the table in about an hour. It would have gone more quickly had the directions been more explicit. There are pictures only; no words to describe the pictures, so assembly is subject to each individual’s interpretation of the drawings!

  9. 1) Surface hinges are pretty flimsy. Lean on the top – bend
    2) Assembly instructions were horrible. Not well detailed.
    3) Should have checked sale price at A.C Moore.
    4) Screw holes on surface to hold side utility trays aren’t accurate, I couldn’t fit one of the trays.
    5) Metal utility ‘holders’ on the side are hard to reach. Too out of the way.
    6) Horizontal support bars should be more substatnial – they make convenient foot rests and are somewhat flimsy

  10. I needed more space to design and capture my ideas on where I could spread things out and work. This drawing table is the perfect choice. It was easy to assemble. I think I looked at the assembly instructions three times to figure which screw to use. It was pretty self-explanatory what went where.

Drawbacks: It is one height which is the right height for me to work when I’m seated. But, it would be nice if it could move up and down. I like to think on my feet and I would like to be able to work while standing. The plastic trays are a little flimsy, but functional.

Advantage: Price, price, price. A drawing table that could move up and down would cost a bunch more, so I think on my feet and sit to write or lean over onto the table top. So, it evens out. You just can’t beat the price tho.
