I had this chair for a few weeks now & I’m very satisfied with it so far. It’s a fairly comfortable chair that’s easy to assemble & is just the right size for me. I wasn’t sure about the size of the chair before I bought it, but it fits perfectly in my room at my computer desk. Now that I have a chair like this, I wish I bought one of these a long time ago. The chair I used before was also fairly comfortable, but it couldn’t swivel & didn’t have a height adjuster. Overall this is a good chair for the price. I recommend it.

If you came to your desk at work, and there was an empty box on your chair, what would you think?
I came to work and thought they were going to tell me to pack up and leave, until my boss walked by and told me to start packing….because I’ve got a new desk. lol

  1. I’ve owned this chair for about seven years now, and it’s still held up strong. Ridiculously comfortable, the wheels work well — just be careful if you’re on carpet and use a plastic chair mat.

One thing I wish is that it had more than one setting for the lean-back so you had a choice between “no lean” and “full lean” but honestly it works out great regardless. I usually stop my lean by putting my knees under my desk and that turns out to be a pretty good position.

I’ve never had the arm-snap problem that others are talking about, but I only weigh 150 pounds and don’t lean back very often. If you weigh much more than me, do not buy!

  2. Easy to assemble. Very sturdy. Received it very fast. Love it. Great for the price(got it for $99 half price)

  3. This chair worked well for a few months, until (like a number of other posters) I leaned back and the arms snapped, ruining the chair.

The chair is designed to recline, but the back is fixed, so the whole seat rotates backwards. Alone, this is not a bad thing if you’re looking for an office chair and not a Lazy-boy. However, the chair’s backrest is attached via the two arms, and NOTHING ELSE. There is no direct support or connection between the base and the back, despite the fact that they do not move. This key design fault means that ALL of the weight against the chair’s backrest is born by the arms, and they will be stressed every time you lean backwards.

The chairs arms are a stiff plastic that will fatigue, fracture, and eventually fail. Usually, they will snap in half right next to the bolts. Because the arms are the only support for the back, this means that when the arm snaps, the entire chair is ruined.

If you rarely use your office, or you don’t want to recline/lean bac, or you’re a 14 year old who weighs less than 140 pounds, this chair could work for you. If you are an adult who sits down every day at your desk, look elsewhere.

  4. Chair isn’t as comfortable as I expected. It is’nt bad but niether is it spectacular. Price I found to be median for the quality.

  5. The back of the chair breaths nice, and I got this chair on sale. However I wouldn’t recommend this chair at it’s retail price. It can get uncomfortable, because the seat isn’t padded that well. So if you’re like me and sit at your desk to study, you should find a different chair.

  6. Limited adjustments (only up/down) but looks good and is quite comfortable. For the price it’s a good deal.

  7. Chair is comfy, so far. Took about 15 minutes to put together, instructions were straight forward and easy. Moves up and down with ease, rolls around smoothly.

  8. This chair is a good sturdy office chair made of quality material. The only problem I have with it is that I can’t figure out how to lock the chair once it’s in place, it always slides up and down. This could be my fault though and hopefully will figure it out eventually.

  9. I’ve had a kneeling chair for many years, but it was metal and falling apart. I’d looked for a replacement for it, but all the choices were ridiculously expensive. Fortunately in the case of this chair, low price does not equal low quality. It is well made, simple to put together, and it looks good. Another reason I like it is that it does not take up much space – it simply rolls under my desk. I suspect this will last me the rest of my life.

  10. Just got the chair and, so far, it is comfortable and sturdy. My complaint, as stated above, is a lack of directions for assembly – it isn’t brain surgery but some written directions would be helpful. For the money – a bargain!

  11. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of materials included in this chair kit and how easily it went together. The hardware is sturdy and of good quality. The wood is nicely fitted, joined and finished. The upholstered seats appear to be well made. The threaded adjustment knob works fine and allows the chair to be fitted for the occupant. I nearly bought the $239 chair, but at $73, this little chair is exactly what I wanted and needed.

This chair is replacing a metal kneeling chair that I’d used daily for 5+ years in which a weld finally broke,(after the cushions had been patched and duck taped extensively).

  12. I purchased this chair because I was having back pain and need a chair that I could get out of with minimal discomfort. This chair was great for that. And it is comfortable!
My only criticism is that it should have come with assembly instructions but came only with a line drawing picture of what it should look like. It took us some time to figure out how to make the piece fit together to achieve a chair which looked like the picture.
I recommend this chair for people with back or spine issues.

  13. We got these chairs where I work — the top line Aeron, and I hate them. I’m a big guy and have the C size chair (large size) and the front of the seat cuts into my legs. For no reason that I can see, the front of the seat curves up, creating the problem. I’ve tried the smaller, B class chair as well and it has the same problem and is too small for me in other respects as well. One of the other reviewers suggests that the problem is that people like me have the chair too high off the ground, so I experimented around by lowering the chair. While it does help with the immediate problem on my legs it puts me WAY TOO LOW at my desk with my knees a bit higher than my hips (ie, lets are not at a 90 degree angle, more like 100 degrees measured from the vertical). I work at a computer all day and I really dislike this chair

  14. My wife picked out this chair as a replacement for a large leather desk chair that did not provide good back support. The main issue I have is the unnecessarily difficult process of assembly, specifically the procedure for attaching the control cable for the PostureFit Lumbar Back Support. It requires poking a hole through the back fabric of the chair and then inserting the tip of the cable, which is flexible and doesn’t want to go through the fabic, so that it can ultimately slide into a keyhole slot in the PostureFit assembly. After about 1 hour of fiddling, cursing and employing all kinds of superflous tools (such as vice-grips) it finally went together. The whole process could have been made much easier by Herman Miller if they had simply pre-punched the hole in the back fabric, with the proper diameter and location, and inserted a cheap rubber grommet to define the location of the hole.

Other than that, the chair is comfortable (although I have made it more comfortable by adding a sheepskin cover), has adequate controls and is an improvement over what I had before.
