What is the legal definition of a furnished apartment in Portland, Oregon?
I moved into a furnished apartment 1 week ago. In my living room, I have a couch and mismatching chair, but no coffee table/end tables. In my kitchen, I have cutting boards with no cutting knives; 4 wine bottle openers but no strainer; a cheese slicer but no toaster; 24 forks but only two bowls. There are no screens in desk Chair Spring the windows and the box spring was broken so I have been sleeping on the floor for a week. I am a graduate student that is paying a lot of money to rent this “furnished” apartment, but I feel it is inadequate. This is a student neighborhood, but the apartment does not have a study desk? What legally comes with a “furnished apartment”? How long do they have to fulfill my request? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. The landlords kept repeating “if you need anything just let us know” over and over when I first looked at the house and when I was signing the lease. But how long do they have to get me the furniture that they told me they would get?Also, there are no screens in the windows and no hot water in the bathroom sink. I’m pretty sure they need to fix those asap.
