Received this chair yesterday and assembled very easily. Came with all the necessary tools, and even extra screws! It is a great chair and I am finally in comfort at my desk. It might not have as many adjustments, but it is more comfortable than my $250 chair at home. I wish we had more manufacturing in the USA, but until then, might as well take advantage of the prices on stuff made in China.
couches or comfy chairs with attached desks?
heyy all.. i was just wondering if anyone had any idea where to buy a couch or comfy chair with an attached desk table. the reason why Swivel desk Chair im wondering is because in one of my classes at school, we were thinking about getting them but we have to find them first. im thinking about something like a couch with a small desk table that you can swivel back and forth to get in and out of the couchi know this is kind of a weird and vague question but i appreciate all of the answers in advance =)

Just received this chair to use at computer. Was using just a folding chair-100% improvement. Feels great on back, love all aspects. Easy to put together. Highly recommend.
Easily assembled and extremely comfortable the Alera chair is more than we expected. Fully padded and with good support, the chair could have cost much more.
I searched for quite some time for a sturdy, comfortable task chair. Upon arrival, the Alera chair seemed to fit the bill. It is clearly a quality product and appeared quite comfortable. However, after using it for a couple of weeks I’ve found that the seat cushion is now fairly compressed. This has reduced the comfort factor for the chair. Were it not for this, I would have rated it as five stars.
. . . and finally found a chair suitable for those long days at the office. Durable leather seat with a comfortable mesh back and just the right amount of lumbar support make this a winner. The only drawback: would be nice to have padded arms.
Chair is very comfortable and for the price, great, but within the first 3 weeks, 2 of the wheels broke off, dissapointing, but when we contacted the manufacturer they sent us more. Overall I’d rate this product a 3 star.
Although I was a bit dubious about the quality while assembling this chair, we have since been very happy with it – it is very comfortable. We did have to “stretch out the back” a bit to allow it to recline to a comfortable position.
I bought this chair through Amazon and their supplier for this item, its very comfortable and well made for heavy duty usage. Their manufacturer has a very outstanding customer service because when I received the chair, there was a little damage on the the bottom back side. I reported the defect right away and they went out of their way to correspond with me and they sent a replacement right away. WOW! I hope that this company and seller should be a model on how a merchant takes care of their customers. When I’ll have another need to buy an office furniture, I will dilligently look for this particular merchant again because they have gained my business for life. Easy to setup except that the arm rests weren’t marked with which way to put them. It would have saved ten minutes. But if you have assembled chairs before, this should be a cake walk. I had no prior experience
Very comfortable to work sitting on this chair. Worth the penny you pay for.
The fabric is a little harsh on my skin but I don’t like leather chairs. So I guess I can bear that.
I would have given it a 5 but for the fabric and a missing instruction for setup.

Easy to put together. Nicely adjustable. Very good lumbar support. The tall back gives support to my shoulders. Really comfortable, highly recommended.
Easy to assemble. Took about 15 minutes. Not comfortable at all. I have learned an important lesson, even though this chair looks good it is very cheaply made and for the price I paid $144 it’s a rip off. Most important you need to sit in a chair and feel it out before you buy one. I am very disappointed with this chair. My old one is much more comfortable than this one and I can’t return it so I plan to give it away.
Okay. I bought this chair because of the good reviews, here on Amazon, and the price. The only thing I was leery about, was the “High Back Mesh” part. When I think of “mesh”, I think of Herman Miller mesh, open, with air flow. I had this on my old chair, but the padding on the seat was pretty thin, and if I sat in it for more than an hour, I’d get pretty sore. Anyway, this chair has a much thicker seat, but the back, while being high(which is good!), was solid, and would get pretty hot after a short while. So, I switched the backs on the two chairs, and “Problem Solved!”. I’ve got the old back on the new seat, and as an extra bonus, the arms of the new chair work, as well. I couldn’t use the arms on the old chair. Ultimately, I’m happy with my purchase, even though I ended up modifying it, which is why I only gave it 3 stars.

Chair isn’t as comfortable as I expected. It is’nt bad but niether is it spectacular. Price I found to be median for the quality.
I’ve owned this chair for about seven years now, and it’s still held up strong. Ridiculously comfortable, the wheels work well — just be careful if you’re on carpet and use a plastic chair mat.
One thing I wish is that it had more than one setting for the lean-back so you had a choice between “no lean” and “full lean” but honestly it works out great regardless. I usually stop my lean by putting my knees under my desk and that turns out to be a pretty good position.
I’ve never had the arm-snap problem that others are talking about, but I only weigh 150 pounds and don’t lean back very often. If you weigh much more than me, do not buy!
This chair worked well for a few months, until (like a number of other posters) I leaned back and the arms snapped, ruining the chair.
The chair is designed to recline, but the back is fixed, so the whole seat rotates backwards. Alone, this is not a bad thing if you’re looking for an office chair and not a Lazy-boy. However, the chair’s backrest is attached via the two arms, and NOTHING ELSE. There is no direct support or connection between the base and the back, despite the fact that they do not move. This key design fault means that ALL of the weight against the chair’s backrest is born by the arms, and they will be stressed every time you lean backwards.
The chairs arms are a stiff plastic that will fatigue, fracture, and eventually fail. Usually, they will snap in half right next to the bolts. Because the arms are the only support for the back, this means that when the arm snaps, the entire chair is ruined.
If you rarely use your office, or you don’t want to recline/lean bac, or you’re a 14 year old who weighs less than 140 pounds, this chair could work for you. If you are an adult who sits down every day at your desk, look elsewhere.
