Free Supportive Guideline For Ball Claw Desk
1 November 2010

The Signo Uniball 207 pens, which I purchased from Amazon, are the best pens that I have owned and used. They compare to some Japanese pens which are not available in this country. They produce a very black line, and flow easily onto the page. They are an outstanding product in my judgment.
Can you read this short beginning to my story and rate 1-10?
This is the beginning of my most recent story. I made a few adjustments to it, so if it looks familiar, that’s why
Feel free to read all of it, or just some of it if you want. (I posted this a few minutes ago, but it didn’t post. Sorry if it suddenly does, and this turns out to be a repeat!)Read, rate, and harsh critique please! At this particular moment, Maurie Clarke was as insane as she’d ever been, sitting in a sea of crumpled paper and carving claw marks into her desk. The pencil she’d abandoned had long ago been sharpened past usable length. The first day of summer had brought unbearably thick, humid air. The weather was the cause of her drought of creativity, Maurie reasoned. It was the only explaination as to why she would be collasped over her desk, her head as blank as the notebook before her.“What is all this?” Lissa, the older sister, demanded. She stuck her arm out from underneath her blanket and plucked the nearest paper ball from the floor. “The pregnant clouds were like dyed cotton balls-’” She read, squinting past the angry pencil scribbles.“I have absolutely nothing,” Maurie cried, burying her head in her hands. “Why Ball Claw desk do you need something, anyway?” Lissa asked. “Come on, Maur, it’s the first day of vacation. Have a little fun-” Then, under her breath- “For once in your life.”“Do you think Shakespeare had time for fun? What about Jane Austen? Emily Bronte?”“I dunno,” Lissa said. “Why don’t you ask them?”The idiocy of my sister was- Maurie wrote, before crumpling the paper. She threw it, where it joined the rest of the wasted pages.Maurie’s mother opened the door, sending a burst of conditioned air into the girls’ bedroom. She was dressed for the day in pants and sleeves far to long for the humid weather. Maurie rarely saw her mother’s ankles.“You girls want some lunch?” her mother said. Maurie had been awake for nearly six hours. Six hours full of aggravation, persper-ation, and not even an ounce of inspiration. “Can’t. I’m going to the cafe,” Maurie said, grabbing her notebook and pen. Maybe that’s what she needed: just to be out of the house. Benny’s Cafe had plenty of interesting people to write about, what with their eccentric personalities and shameless style.Ten minutes later, she was out of her pajamas and on her bike, pedaling down the street. The strap of her bookbag lay across her shoulder like a seatbuckle. The bag bounced against her waist with every pedel. She passed her neighbor’s yard, just as a cat leapt out in front of her. Maurie slammed on her brakes, nearly tumbling over the handles. The white cat glared at her as it slothed past her front tire. If passing a black cat is bad luck, Maurie mused, is being passed by a white cat good luck?As soon as the cat passed, Maurie rode on, and wasn’t distracted again until she spotted a tiny piece of white paper on the ground. It was dirty and wrinkly, but looked as if there was writing on it. Note Finding was one of Maurie’s favorite games (one that she could play by herself, too). She picked it up and realized that it wasn’t so much a note as it was a fortune. Now, it read, it is time to start something new.Maurie thought that the fortune was rather demanding. Whenever she went to the town’s Chinese restauraunt, she always read the tiny piece of paper as if it were a wise old man giving her wise old advice. But now she pictured nothing more than a middle-aged man, not reading the advice, but booming it.(I posted this a few hours ago, but I was hoping to get more answers this time around. So sorry if this is a repeat for you!)

I purchased a box of 12 Uniball pens, I even showed the listing to friends to make sure that the add was for 12 pens and not one. But they shipped me one pen, and charged me 6.99 shipping to boot! I refused the shipment, as per my postal carrier’s instructions, and tried to contact the company, but they never even tried to get back to me. So, lesson learned.
These pens write very smoothly and cleanly and the price for a dozen is better than the office supply stores.
