My order came within five days. It was
very nice and sturdy. cardboard backing like a lot of bookshelves. Easy to put together, but the tacks used for the metal pieces that are attaced to the bookshelf were too small and the metal plates on the bookshelf kept coming off. We bought longer tacks and everythig was fine. My husband was so impressed at how the first one looked that we have ordered another one today.

  1. The thing is very solid and it was a good price…on sale etc. Don’t think it’s real wood which would have been a plus. Still, a decent shelf.

  2. These bookcases are a good deal for the price. They look nice when assembled, though of course they are not solid wood, but rather a particle board with a faux cherry wood exterior.
The assembly was pretty easy. The pieces fit together well, except for a cosmetic piece that fits over the end of the middle shelf. I ordered two of these, and it did not quite cover the entire end of the shelf on either one.
The backboard is cardboard, but still looks decent when complete.
